Will the main fuel pump, starter and air con pump transfer and work on a BMW 525tds? I just want to confirm as I think the do, but seem to think the fuel pump won't work on either that or the p38 RR

Hi all,

Where is the best place under the dash/dash fuse box to pick up a good ignition live feed? I have fitted a facet lift pump and need it to run all the time (existing lift feed is ecu controlled). I have found a blue ign live wire in the boot but it doesnt seem to be man enough, so am running a wire along the drivers side sill to the dash.

Hello guys,

My 2.5TD elite starter went the other day, changed it last night, starts lovely but now battery light on and wont charge!

I bridged a cable between the small nut (feed to alternator) from the battery, laboured the engine, but no difference on the volt output...

Desperatly need this for today  , so any help is much appreciated

Whats the best lcd info screen thing I can plug and play fit into instead of my cooking spec CD one and can i get steering wheel controls working on my pioneer head unit? (Bearing in mind it doesnt have controls at the mo, I have just aquired a steering wheel with controls to fit) As I remember from years ago converter plugs that were available once.

The blue one with the 2 take offs that sits above the inlet manifold branches/injectors. Any idea on the part no. as I need a new one and Vaux couldnt find it on the system

Found the guide on where to drill for fl trims, but how do I remove the pfl ones? Do I just get the screw driver and angry face out, or is there screws on the inside?!

If the car gives a wiff of burnt oil after spirited/long/traffic use, an oil change and clearout of the breather thing on the plenum should solve yes?

Im in cambridge, can travel, looks a bit beyond me so I thought I could give a loving oof spanner twirler some beer tokens to save me immobolising yet another car for several years I have 3.2 ones to go on

Failing that, Ive been thinking engine swap between my 2.5 and 3.0 if the engine has to come out anyway? Just a thought, ideas?!

I am looking into engine options for next season as I would love to use my old 3.2 and so far the 1JZ toyota engine is winning.

However, whats the GM 2.8T like and has anyone fitted one into a 'mega? And is it just mapping differences between the NET and NEL?

Omega General Help / More starting issues and now oil leak on the td!:(

It seems after leaving it a few hours, it only wants to start when the cas under the starter is unplugged (normally while attached to another car for jumper power!)

Once running for a min, it drops the idel, skips abit and throws the gearbox into safe mode. I gather then that the cas is knackered?

Also, replaced the 2 seals for the oil cooler going intothe oil filter housing and its now leaking worse than before.

Just wanted to run this by you guys as with all the time and money spent on it, if it doesnt start behaving soon, Im getting shot
