The RGB cable is only used when displaying the map function of the navigation, including the pop-up map. These functions produce a blank screen if no RGB cable.

It is not required for any other function, including the pictorial sat nav.

Telematics doesn't need RGB cable to function, even if you did fit it.

The telematics loom is just a 36way ISO extension lead (with minor modifications), and is useful if you want to add the RGB or do other loom mods. Certainly not essential if you are happy to cut and modify the existing loom.
I didn't understand the schemes but I'll ask a friend if he is familiar with these kind of things, I was thinking about buying a loom ( https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/opel-omega-adapterkabel-ncdr/1437566836-223-1124 ) like this one but it is very expensive. I hope I'll make it work with your schemes. Thanks a lot man.

As to wiring, sorry, yes there is a difference (aside from the RGB cable, that is only used for displaying the Map view).

I cant copy the diagrams easily, so I've had to screen dump them.

https://theboy.omegaowners.com/oofpics/ncdc_ccrt_wiring/

So, pins you are interested in, in addition to the RGB cable (the smaller of the 2 connectors) are pins 25, 32, 33 on NCDC and pins 10, 11 on NCDC

I would do this on a "trafficmaster" loom to save butchering the car loom.  This is a short 36way ISO to 36way ISO loom.

in the diagrams uploaded:
ncdc.JPG = NCDC201x
ccrt.JPG = CCRT200x
cid.JPG = Colour Information Display
cart.JPG = CCRT Display (and also covers standard MID)

Thanks a lot mate, So I will not use telematic+Navigation, does that mean I'll not need RGB cable?
Also I don't know what is trafficmaster. In Turkey none of the cars are equipped with factory Navigation, is it sth related to the navigation?
As far as I,an idiot reading charts, understand I'll not need to buy additional wiring for the swap. I just need to understand the scheme you sent me and make the necessary pin swaps right?

Not without coming over and looking at what's already fitted :D

The lighting colour is fixed by filters within the cluster... All the bulbs are plain.
Thank you, I'll see what I can do then.

Sport light might simply be a bulb.

Five minutes to pull the cluster to check ;)

Any advice on which type of bulb to bu? I'm handy with tools but lack information on these kind of stuff. Also if it is easy I'would like to change all lights on the cluster with new amber lights. Any spesification for the bulbs?

Hi guys unfortunately it didn't worked :( I took my CID and NCDC 2015 from electrician to do it myself after waiting for him to figure out the wiring for 1 month. I removed speed cluster and CCRT 2008. Pluged CID and NCDC 2015, The screen booted but only showed Opel logo date and time, after asking to check breaklights and no other controls was working. The radio was working but only  on/off I guess. I coudl hear the radio and turn the volume up and down, but can't change stations or to CD, also the screen didn't show the info. After a big disappointment I reinstalled cluster and old HU. I realized 'Sport' light was not working. The transmission works with the sport button as it should be but I guess I broke sth on cluster wiring or just the light in the cluster broken down. Any advice for radio + CID and how to replace lights in the cluster?

Will not work.
From memory, between a CCRT and NCDC, it will.  It defo won't between a CCR and NCDC.
Agreed because both have telephone and computer functions  :y

Then I'll stop by the electrician and try to install it without any modifications and see whats will happen.

Do you have I have to buy completely new wiring or can I modify the existing one?

No you don't have to buy extra wiring, you need to modify the existing wires on the connector.

Quote
Also how much do you want for the wiring? Is it just extra 12 pin for CID or all wiring for NCDC2015 and CID?

It is only an extra cable for the CID.

Just pop it in and see what works.

Will not work.

Thanks for the reply, so do you know where can I learn what to change and modify the wiring? And how to add 12 pin CID connector to the wiring loom? Any tutorial or PIN modification guide?

So do I need to change wiring from CCRT2008 to NCDC2015 or just plug and play? Also how to make additional wiring for CID?

No it is not p&p, you need to change the wiring on the radio connector.

I see, but how do I make/buy that extra loom for the CID? I can make it if I had a wiring scheme.

I have some complete CID loom for sale

Thanks for the reply. I haven't installed the system yet. When I removed previous screen it had a plug that fits CID but on CID there is another socket needs plug, I guess it was 12 PIN. As I removed CCRT2008 I see ( as a non electric guy) the sockets were pretty much similar to NCDC2015. I tried the screen on one plug that I already have and it booted, it showed Opel logo time date but none of the controls were working, I guess that is the missing plug. So I'm not expert and the expert told me he needs a wiring scheme😒. Also I don't have telematics. I will not use any navigation. Just the cool look, all working warnings and CD on the NCDC 2015.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC 2015 Wiring

Hi guys, I've posted a similar topic before and still couldn't fix the problem. I bought a NCDC2015 paired with CID, my car is 2000 Elegance Omega equipped with CCRT 2008 and Bose. I didn't find necessary  wiring taped under old screen for my CID. I met a guy claiming to be capable of making sockets and wiring for CID and HU, but the problem is we don't have necessary wiring scheme. I asked Opel for the Scheme but they couldn't help either. So if any of you guys can help me I really appreciate that as I bought this unit 6 months ago and still had no progress with it.  :( :(

As its a NCDC2015, you need to go through the pain of fitted the telematics unit, as that will be in the pairing ring, though for the life of me cant remember if a missing telematics will cause constant warnings on the CID.

The wiring *WILL NOT* be in place if the car was factory fitted with a non NCDC unit.  Fortunately, it can all be modified simply by swapping some wires on a 36-36 way TrafficMaster loom, and adding the extra plug for the CID.  At the display end, from memory, pinds 1 and 36 need shorting in order to get diags to work, but check schematics to confirm.

Thank you for the info, I'm not sure how to do the modifiying part though. Now I found a donor car which has the NCDC 2015 wiring. I'll ask the owner for the wiring parts to be removed and sent to me. But the problem is they are not handy with taking the wires out. They asked me to send the pictures of the needed wires so they can cut them and sent them. Unfortunately I still couldn't find the pictures or correct wiring scheme to supply to them. Do you guys know what exact wires and pins required from donor car? Also I'll not be using Navigation, so as far as I know Telematics aren't required, are they? Now I need the pictures or the scheme of the necessary wiring so a friend will drop by to the donor car at tuesday, if he could cut them and bring them easly. Also a mechanic noted that Wiring is complicated and goes way back to the engine so they will not be capable of removing the wires from the donor car.

14
Wow that would be really good :) I wish I had that too.

Thanks you for the answers :) . I couldn't find any scheme for the necessary wiring. Do you guys know where to find them? I have a good electrician nearby for necessary modifications to the existing wiring but he will need correct diagrams I guess. Also I already have Bose system installed in my car originally, do they need any activation or sth like that?
