Getting a bit fed up with the Mig, one thing after another, yet is is low mileage, ultra clean for it's year and even the garage call it a 'star car'
Vauxhall engines seem to be tempremental, what will mate with the gearbox or what engine and gearbox combination will fit?
Never going to get swmbo to drive this, so now it is a toy, any thoughts, real world though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

Well took limped the car in local Auto electricians this morning, all sorsts of warning lights on and off, auto gearbox in fail mode, so drive it manually.  ::)

The owner knew the ‘engine’ from my description of the symptoms, Vauxhall 2.0L something or other. Seems it is a common fault on Omega’s and Vectra’s. :o

New Alternator and battery warning bulb replaced, car seems fine and cost a lot less than I was expecting. :y

Decided to take swmbo, daughter and dog to Richmond to play in the river, off in the Mig, few miles down the road the electrics started playing up and felt it best to turn around and come home. :( Fault posted in help section.

Well doggy  and daughters face, :'( so we set off again in the Citroen,  :oI always said that the dog was not going to get in this car, yellow lab and always moulting, no matter how many times you brush her.
As my daughter pointed out, ‘Daddy you said no sweets when you first got the car, you always say that but it never lasts’ bloomin kids, well sussed. ::) ::) ::)
Anyway daughter and doggy had a lovely play in the water, back home, doggy shattered daughter gone out to play water fights. ;D

« on: 22 July 2008, 22:36:56 »
Any Good, swmbo will not give up the Mitsubishi, says our 2.0L estate too slow in auto, she was happy enought in a manual, she had to drive it at the weekend and used 'Sport' all the time. I dare not even look to see how much petrol she has left. ::) ::) ::)

Just wondering, and how much for a 51 plate CD, 72000 no details of history.ebay No 250251286377 I used to work with the wife of the owner, a bit of a back street garage, but has two depots in 2 towns.
Would px mine.

Went to see ‘Oliver’ last night performed by year’s  3, 4, 5 & 6 pupils, about 60 in total, it’s a very small school.
The children have been working really hard with lots of after school rehearsals, little Miss Mike f played the part of bullied dog ‘Bullseye’ Have to say it was very good indeed, Grandma and Granddad went to see it tonight.

Don't feel I can put up photo's but I can put this one up.

General Discussion Area / Talking of ebay
« on: 20 July 2008, 22:44:46 »
Talking of Ebay, I recently listed some items, 1 of which was an electric bike, collection only, to discover there was an identical item, collection only, listed about 10 miles from me. :(
This had 2 bidders on it and stated in the listing that there was a fault, that it would only run 100 yards before the battery went flat. A third person placed, the winning bid, which is higher than mine is at the moment. :( This meant that someone has decided to pay more for an identical product that is faulty. :o :o :o
And mine has a top box as well. :y
Also, collection only, one guy wanted me to post it to Portugal,  another to Leicester. :-X

General Discussion Area / Can't get MSN to work
« on: 19 July 2008, 23:02:01 »
I have downloaded it but when I try to open it won’t work. Firstly said that password was wrong and then would not accept my email address. Now the screen comes up and when I try to put my password in the screen just disappears.  Also I do not seem to have a link, on the toolbar there is a link to an MSN page but from there it directs to load up again. Any ideas in easy to understand English please. :-[ :-[ :-[

Well she has gone, with daughter to the Caravan and in the Omega too. ;D ;D ;D Trying to get her to like it, she had a manual one for years.

We were all going this weekend and were taking daughters new bike down. Well out lad ‘The Scooter king’ didn’t want to go as he wants to go shopping with some friends tomorrow so I was really kind and volunteered to stay behind to ‘look after him’  ;) ;) ;)

This meant that swmbo had to take the Omega for the bike, this is supposed to be her car but I can not get her out of my old Mitsubishi, she likes the speed and saysit gives her street cred in the school she works in as all the kids think it is an EVO. ::)
I did threaten to sell it over the weekend, she threatened me with divorce if I did, any one want a Mitsubishi Galant? :-X :-X :-X

Just popped into my Dad’s and he was showing me one of his motor home magazines, under engine size colum some engines were described as 100/130 or 160 multi jet where others were the usual 2.5 / 2.2 whatever.
Noticed that it was all Fiat vehicles, anyone know what this means?

Neither of us know what that mean's but I said I would be able to find out from oof. ;D

General Discussion Area / 6 pages of Omega's on ebay
« on: 17 July 2008, 22:51:51 »
Don't often look at Omega's on ebay, I have one and not looking to change, but I could have spent some money a few times :-/ when I bought the one we currently have, a year ago there was not the choice there is tonight. :( Otherwise i would have a black 2.2 estate, though any change now would be to a V6. swmbo not impresed with 2.0L in auto format. ::) ran a manual happily for years, but she is currently running around in my old Mitsubishi 2.5 auto, a real flying machine, had she never driven this it would be a different story. ::) ::) ::)
