Its all well & good feeding birds in your garden, but we need to bear in mind that care needs to be taken to use a method which wont allow rats to access the food. Most of the country seems to be plagued with rats nowadays, and its never good to encourage them to feed (and then inevitably live) near houses.

But do they know where you keep finding them so cheap ?  ;D
I currently have  hankering for a nice, cheap 3.2 , but then again I also have a hankering for a Jag XJ.

Assuming that you haven't a) topped up with diesel or b) bought some shit fuel :-\ Supermarket perchance?

If the coil pack/plug checks prove inconclusive, drain the tank, refill with Shell V power and throw in two cans of Wynns injector cleaner. Then give the car a good thrashing... aim for sub 20mpg and repeat but drive normally for the second tank :y

I would agree with this. If the car ran fine before putting the fuel in and was rough as a hedgehogs arse shortly after, then it would point to dodgy fuel to me.
I wouldn't throw new parts at the problem until this has been investigated.

Very sad indeed. Far too young, and dedicated to helping others too. It often seems that it really is the good who die young.
Coincidentally, his hearse was an Omega.

Is driving a car at xxx mph any different though ? It always seems to be perceived as much more irresponsible when its a biker rather than a car driver.
Cars tend to cause much more  "collateral damage" when they have high speed accidents.

Not dull and boring if your taking the sweeping bends at warp speed - I would imagine.  :-X :D
Potentially dangerous though. Having said that, if the road is empty and your only risking yourself then why not I suppose.

5 white fillings in teeth on the side rather than front teeth. Not available on NHS plan AFAIK. I would guess at several hundred quid.

That would be a perfect buy for me if it wasn't so far away. It would be a shame to break it. Drop in another engine in if need be, and it would be a nice car.
Apart from the distance involved , I spent my spare cash on a 1.2 Fiat Punto this morning.  :-[ ;D

Overheating and alternator not charging the battery. You have checked that the aux. belt is still in place ?  :-\

Why would anyone want to holiday in France when Italy isn't that much further ?  :o :D ;D..............I mean boycotting it in every conceivable way. They cant stand the British unless they are taking their money or being rescued from tyranny by them. ;)

11966
Oh no you don't. Ive seen a fair bit of Europe and Ive never been to France in my life.  ;)

11967
The best response might be for the UK to boycott France and hope it gives them a reality check.  :)

I find that pathetic & stupid beyond belief. The photo of the guy who carried out the recent massacre showed him (iirc) with a gun and a confederate flag.
The U.S. politicians apparently cant do a thing about the guns so they have manipulated attention towards the flag, and the sheep are falling for it.  ::)
The Confederate flag has many more historic connotations than simply racism / white supremacy etc. It shouldn't be taking the blame for Americas gun problems.

Re the Heathrow / Stansted debate. Heathrow isn't necessarily nearer. It depends whereabouts in London you want to go (its a big place).
Its a half hour from Stansted down to East London. You could never get across from Heathrow in that time, or probably even twice that time.
The city and Canary wharf are in the East of course, so Stansted is closer for them. Although City airport is closer still.
The main problem with Stansted into central London is the crap road network after the bottom of the M11. It will take longer to get from the bottom of the M11 to the City than it takes from Stansted to the bottom of the M11.
It needs the sh1thole that is Whitechapel / Mile end / most of Tower Hamlets demolished and a motorway running down there as far as Aldgate.
Personally, I hate Heathrow. I think it is the worlds worst airport, with Gatwick a close second. If I must use a U.K. airport I always opt for Stansted if at all possible.
No point in building an airport further north unfortunately. People want to travel to London. That's where all the business is done and all the money is to be made, and that isn't going to change in the foreseeable future, regardless of Osbornes rhetoric about a Northern powerhouse etc.

Had we joined the euro when a lot of "experts" said it would be economically catastrophic if we didnt, we would now be in that situation.
Unbelievably those same "experts"* are now preaching that to leave the EU would be economically catastrophic.  ::)
