had the same problem.  check drainage hole where pollen filter is.  No need to remove glove box.  Just  sure you include this in your service schedule.  Gets clogged with all sorts of crud.  will get filled up if car washed or rains:y

I was wondering even if successfully removed, is there any chance of it then becoming unsecure and thereby can easily come off if everything is successfull :question

I've had a quick look and it seems the loop appearing in the picture has either broken off or been removed.  I believe it to be the former as I can't see who in their right mind would remove it.

So does this mean thats finally it then  or must I cut cable, which I do not even want to go down that road as it means it is going to be even more unnecesssary work and that also leaves the problem of the ball still being on the throttle housing.  Which then means I will have to get another.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh >:( >:( >:(

Can anyone see an alternative option around this. :question :-?

went to begin stripping engine and tried to disconnect cable from ball joint at throttle houssing, as manual instructs.

It says to undo retaining clip.  Could not ID.  Does anyone know if it is the small wire found wound around near the small ball.  If so I am finding it help hard to remove.

All help will be appreciated. :y

Omega General Help / Re: oil in plug well.
« on: 12 February 2011, 21:36:22 »
The oil prob was the second found well after overheating experienced, and thought it was there when OH occured.
I was'nt aware of the oil in wells untill earlier today when I went to do compression test to investigate how bad overheating had affected engine  before stripping head.

I needed to know how and what caused this additional prob as I did not fig on R C as I was thinking maybe seals had gone or by some other avenue (cracked head) :question

My thinking is obviously flawed so if you can expalin further as I was considering engine is now completely U :'(S and therefore need to move on :-/
