Cheers rob.
Welcome to OOF
My immedaite thought was that the bulb had gone, but after switching off and on a couple of times it lit. When I stopped and switched off the engine, I tried turning on again and could see that the bulb was flickering but not actually lighting (like a flourescent tube trying to light).
:-?QuoteIf it is deadlocked you have real problems, if not then it's a doddle.
Deadlocked or not, the key is not needed.....

I have had drop links and steering idlers knackered inside a year - fleabay cheapos though.Might be worth inspecting them "while your down there".Agreed, I've just had to replace drop links after less than a years use. If it's the drivers side, you can especially feel the knock through the pedals and even a slight rutt in the road will make it knock. It's very annoying. They're cheap to replace so i'd try those first before wishbones.
Honestly straight forward....unless you happen to have purchased some cheapo stabilisers off eBay, and they don't have flattened off bits at the back of the bolt so you can get the second spanner on to stop it spinning round when you try to undo it. Gggrrrr!

andy .. stick your location in your profile .... might be someone near you who can assist/teach/hold your hand while the job is done ..I was thinking that too!
