crush uninsured but when the new rates come in - a lot more people will be avoiding the tax - because £400 is too high for a lot of people  - I cannot afford it

Would have been nice for the clamper to be able to provide details of this alleged infringement.

Timescales, could have been anything as the DVLA only got our address 24 / 48 hours previous, as log book seems to have got lost.

scenario : clamper turns up to clamp untaxed car, shock horror, it is taxed......
hmmm, either an error, timing issue or a cloned car about?

Some communication would be nice!
Be interesting to see if this gets followed up by a letter or something.

Do love the Clamp / crush thing as well,
When we bought the car, the advert said taxed till the end of the month, so we were fine to drive it home, got there and it ran out at the end of the previous month, leaving us kinda stuck with no sensible option but to drive it home  :( .  It then stayed on the drive while I did a load of servicing on it, driving it twice briefly around our road after doing brakes & the exhaust (1/2 mile approx)
