To make things clearer, I purchased these today in the pic below, as Andy felt they would be hard to come by, I grabbed them while I could, at £80 odd

How come? Surely it should be the other way round.

Tbh, I'd probably fit the ones you have and see how they go. Tc pads squeak, not oe. And of the do squeak/squeal, send the buggers back.

I guess Andy is the person to ask but if I was do as to suggest surely I'd get told to bugger off as they would be used and not resaleable?

...or on the other hand if a trade club member had fitted them to a customers car and charged said customer the retail price, said customer might feel rather aggrieved that they would then squeal, given the cost. Although I see where you're coming from. The pads you have have been improved upon, and replaced by the superseded part.
But as you say, Andy is the man to ask, tbh.
