May not be sky fault but something to do with The dish and LNB.

Have noticed on my setup that the signals are different on each tuner, the best one is only about 75%.  But have read somewhere that if not alined properly this is what causes the signal loss in bad weather, apparenly a dish should still be ok with an inch of snow covering it.

Maybe a local guy from your free press could re align it or check it for you for a few quid.

Really? Seems an odd response if your service isn't working. Why dont you change providers?

Although did Tunnie not offer to sort it out for you previously?

I highly recommend BT's Vision.  Of course you need their phone line and Broadband Hub, but I have no complaints about any of it.

Used to be a Sky customer when it was £10 a month for a complete package, but now I think it is over priced for what I actually would use! ;)

If your signals low and it's unlikely the dish has moved, check your cable first, the ends should unscrew off the cable. If the copper is black/dark green then it's water ingress, either trim cable back till its copper, if you don't have enough spare length, change the entire length. If that don't cure it, then it could be that the dish has dropped slightly over time, it doesn't have to move far to lose signal or strength, sounds like to be water to be honest.

Need to get it checked - signal strength too.

My set up was fine. I changed receiver and then only received 10% of channels. Changed dish to a slightly larger one I had lying around - all fine.

If rains causes a problem it is unlikely to be the fault of Sky
