Amazes me how they get coal thats smokeless  ;D

As a guide, we pay around 180-190 a ton for quality steam coal.

Trying to think how long a ton load would last  :-\ I would have to have it delivered in bags and stored in bags on a pallet or something ...

normally 1 ton is enough for 3 months in our winter.. assuming you only use 1 stove..

but you will need logs to burn it..  in any case you will smoke ;D

EMD coal fire is a trouble.. you need to prepare it.. then clean it.. lpg stoves are easier and cheaper imho.. :y

here lpg is very cheap compared to natural gas..  and is more efficient..  dont know may be the idiots here pump air from the natural gas line >:(   whenever temperatures drop boiler hardly burns this gas.. or russian comrades and iranian mullahs selling us crap.. :(

anyway back to subject, lpg stoves are efficient.. they heat the room quickly and you dont pay an arm and a leg.. the only drawback is it finishes the oxygen after a while..  but cheaper than electricity and natural gas..
