Wtd - pair of standard washer jets
« on: 09 January 2013, 16:16:09 »

I've piddled about today fitting a pair of Insignia washers, even using the proper tool to adjust them they just won't go high enough. And I've misplaced my originals that I removed (it was a fortnight ago, and I've thrown a couple of strops in the workshop since then...).

So, before I ring the dealer, anyone got a couple of washer jets to fit a 2003 FL? :y

Even using the proper adjustment tool, they don't seem to aim high enough to actually clear the screen as intended. They could do with sitting a couple of mm more proud of the scuttle.

You need to modify the scuttle slightly. :y

Carefully scallop the hole in the scuttle on the screen side. If you don't,  the jet catches on the lip of the scuttle,  pulling it down.

they are probably only £1-2 each new....The insignia spray ones certainly were.

trouble with 2nd hand is they are so brittle they often snap on removal.

Have you tried a quick pm to Andy C?
