On mobile so not easy to link, but google Jubilee Estate, Foundry Lane Horsham. The unit we had was at the far endon the right hand side, £900 pcm :y
Just to add, it had four spaces outside and room inside for six cars. The ceiling was about 10ft iirc. Also had two toilets and an office

I had a unit in Leeds, just off the M1/M621/M62 big enough for 3 cars (4 at a push), INCLUDING rates, electricity - 1ph and 3ph - and water.
Only parking for 2 cars outside tho - but plenty of room for extra cars on a weekend or outside yard.
For £800 a month.
*might* be still available.

I've posted this before, its a garage where you can rent a lift or bay with tools for "self service"

http://www.pitstartgarage.com/self_service.html

It's not too bad at £80 for the day, if we got a few of us there, be very cheap.

Looked through their site, cannot see anything relating to "meets" - Maybe if we hired all 4 bays they had it would be ok, or just 2  :-\

Might be worth a call, think this is a better option that one we have 24/7 which is going to cost a bomb

I think you stand more chance of getting a group together and doing it, like mine up here ;)

Yes location is important. Like two mins from my house :y

somewhere inside the M60 would be good for me  :y :y
Border of Devon & Cornwall
would be good for me.............
and me too :y
Would work for me too  :y

a few years ago i thought about buying a single phase ramp and putting it on the drive, the only down side was the cost of the ramp, £1400+ so didn't do it,would have also sunk it down so would have been level with the drive.
dont think I'd be allowed to to it now :'(

In fairness, that's quite a long way on a bad day for some of us. ::)

Can't see it working out if this had the OOF stamp on it.
Too many people scattered around the country so going on past bitch fights, I can only see this dividing this forum even more  :(
At the end of the day, what you southern members who met through this forum do is your business but if it had the OOF stamp on it, I can see it getting described as just another clique on here which I'm sure we all agree that we don't need that shite happening anymore.

Anyway, us well hard northerners know you southerner's are bit  soft but what's wrong with lying in a puddle like us lot  :-X ;D ;D ;D

Not sure what your on about there, but on the contrary I expect it be helpful and an advantage to all. Location though is obviously going to be impossible for a lot of members.
So on that basis I don't think it can work, as nobody is going to pay for a service they won't/can't use.

But stranger things have happened. Discussion costs nothing. :)

Sounds like the best solution would be a mobile workshop like my kit car group use for tour support. Mercedes 814 with a ramp inside able to hold a vehicle on the top "deck", so you can work underneath it. Fitted out with electrics, a workbench and tool cabinets, generator, compressor, etc. and a large side awning for extra fettling space.

Doing that with a 700 kg kit car is one thing, a 1700 kg Omega is a different matter. :o

It's still an expensive resource to maintain. We make it pay by a couple of members using it for commercial purposes when it's not required, and we also run several quite expensive tours per year for 50 odd cars, and include truck support in the total costs for the tourers. Added to accommodation, food, petrol, etc. it's not that significant, and we'd have left a lot of tourers behind over the years without it. K series head gasket change between last orders and breakfast, in a hotel car park in the back of beyond in Italy, anyone?

A weekly occurrence for any K series owner, surely? ;D

Sounds like a fantastic resource to have on touring holidays, though!
