Garage coming along nicely...
« on: 16 March 2014, 10:40:51 »

Sadly not to the scale of twiglet's new garage, a few months back. But it's finally coming together  :)

Firstly a few thanks:

- MarksDTM for recommending the lights, they are much better than 'standard' ones, these light up straight away, no firing or few seconds to light up.

- AndyRoid for putting up the lights for me at a great price, fine job. Look great. Might have a few more jobs for you at some point  :)  :y

- LittleFatty Aka TheBoy for suggesting the storage racking, I was going to go with Machine Mart, but he pointed me in the direction of the Costco ones (pictured in box below), very impressed. Very solid, go together very quickly, no bolts.

OOF as it's best, huge variety in advice  :y :y

So it's gone from this...

To this...

That's where I put on 'Smug Mode'

Already done! House was finished in 2012, so only the garage needed doing  :D

That said, she does want a shower curtain, rather than glass screen  ::)

The paint job makes a hell of a difference Mark, pity the garage wasn't that empty when I was bent double on the steps attempting to fix the light fittings and cabling though  ;)

Yeah, it's a big difference. Best bit is at night because the light just bounces off the walls  :)

Electric ballast, no starter, so none of that usual 'buzz' then flicker then they come on. They start straight away like a normal light bulb  :y

Sure, I'll do that and you can build me a BBQ with my spare bricks?  :)

Very nice Tunnie. Nice floor too - epoxy paint?

Those lights look nice - I have IP65 weatherproof fittings in the garage that I fancy replacing with something with electronic ballasts; one of them is already flickering at start and it's only been a couple of years.. boo.

The lights are good, welcome to come see it any time. What impresses me the most, is the light at first switch at night.

Have a feeling mine will do, I have loads of things to put in it, cycles, summer/winter tyre set. (which ever is not on the car), need a lawn mower, loads of tools to bring, camping stuff, car fluids.

It's going to get very full!
