2.2, always carrying a shed load of LPG around. Not sure on Vx ones, 2.2 was 5 years old when I got it.

Desmond, because he keeps overloading it ::)

Does he now. ;D I's say he needs a 3.2 with self levelling and lpg donut tank then. ::)
Or a 3.0 estate with a donut tank ::)

Anywho, to answer your other question... 2001 car, had new springs three years ago, I make that ten years out of the genuine ones :y

You forget KYB on there before Boge :)

KYB went on around 3 years before that, so maybe 7 out of GM. But I don't know if they were replaced before I owned it.

Also, GM's quality is not what it used to be. Exhausts prime example, in 2005? Absolutely GM all the way, but now? No way, over priced and Eternal just as good. I'm not convinced a lot of GM's stuff is what it used to be for the Omega.

Guessing it was LPGd about 6 years ago :-\ not that the 100 litre gas tank over the back axle has anything to do with anything...

Tunnie you can't compare exhausts with springs/apples with pairs. Especially given recent arguments about pattern gaskets. ;D

Comparing the quality. Do we recommend GM zorsts?  ::)

Can visually see/feel how good they are, less so with other parts.

To answer both your questions might be summat useful here...

https://www.atp-autoteile.de/products/group/15808/507030/list-1-50-2.htm

Personally, I would go with the pair for €49 for standard saloon without self leveling, so suitable for both Ds 3.2 and Tunnies 2.2 :y

P.s. this is a discussion about springs, everyone knows that eternal is the best place to get mild steel exhausts, so can it :-X

I had one too, so know what they were like. You are missing my poiny. GM went cheap build on those, we can tell. Easily. Visually and weight wise.

Are exhausts the only place they penny pinched, I doubt it. ;)

Either way, won't be bothering with GMs springs on a standard suspension setup.

Firstly it was not you that asked, its D's thread remember. But if you did ask you'd get the same reply. Vx springs. But on trade club to keep the price down, ish.

If you want to fit aftermarket quality due to cost you can't then moan they don't last.

Aftermarket quality is not oe quality. And don't we know it.

About right...They sell them on egay, in english, ignoring the fact that from the link, you simply click them into the basket, go to checkout fill in a few details and they pop them in the post, which incidentally is free, near as I can tell. Only to later complain about paying £80+ for some tat from ECP.

No helping some people :-X

Can I read German? No. Did you mention eBay before? No. Can I be bothered to fart around on a German site on my phone? No.
