But thinking about it, you'll only be keeping it for 5 minutes so as long as it looks nice, I wouldn't worry too much!  ;D

No MOT......so chassis and outriggers may need replacing. I believe the anaemic 2.9 litre lump has gear driven cams......or is that the 2.8?

If it's good enough for the Chevvy V8 it should be good enough for the Cologne lump ;D

The old 3 litre 'Essex lump' was far superior in my opinion. At least it had a decent dollop of low end torque.....bit breathless at higher revs though.

As is the Cologne, IMHO. Neither engine has anything to give above 5,000 RPM, which is a bit of a shock if you expect it to just keep pulling like the GM V6 does.. Still, in a TVR it should be quite "adequate". ;)

Watch that chassis, though. If the spaceframe has rotted, you have a whole world of grief ahead.

Oh dear, it's a TVR :-\

How many do you get?

Finally.......But not a proper TVR, Al. :y :y :y :y :y :y

An S3 with the weedy 2.9 V6.

Waste of time bothering with that then.

A TVR's strong points are its raw power and handling.

Given that boat anchor you will get neither!  :y

Kevin.....If possible I'm hoping to see the car today. As far as I'm aware the chassis and outriggers are the originals from 1992. It is also white, a colour I'm not too fond of.

Variation on a theme :y
I should add, or rather should I, that I used to deliver repair panels to the TVR service centre in Redhill... :-\

Not pretty :-X

It certainly won't be quick, Mark. I believe the 2.9 has only 170 BHP. My 2.6 Omega has 178/180 depending on which publication you read.

Only weighs about 960 KG though.
