I stand to be corrected, but having been there iirc it can't be reset, certainly not by anything you buy of ebay, I have a code reader myself, works well enough but could not reset the air bag. I needed to buy a part, but for the life of me I cant remember what the part is called, though I can picture it....... :-[ ::) ::)

I am sure someone will be along who can give a better answer, me I sold the car, never fixed the problem...... :D :D

Ok no problem can vauxhall not reset it with a tech 2. Ive only just bought the car and the only reason the light is on is because they changed the seats but forgot to wait 15 minutes before doing the job.

Worth a try, you need to get it sorted one way or another as it won't pass an MOT with the light on.............. ::) ::)

I bought a 'cheapo Tech II' with the Hungarian software to talk to my car .......... it reset a couple of airbags, Omega & Astra.  ;)

If it was that simple, Vauxhall would be able to reset the SRS light. If the seats have been changed, it's likely the wrong seats have been fitted iie early seats into a late car that don't have airbags

Pretty sure it's Tech 2 only to get light off. :-\     The other option ?    clocks out & remove the bulb. 10 min job ;) ;)

Apparently not an MOT failure if light does not work at all I was told :-\ :-\

My previous 2.6 MV6 had this problem after a seat change & I removed the bulb .

saw new owner just yesterday & it has since passed a new MOT with no advisories with bulb still out ;)

rikki_essex - you should have popped in on your way back down from collecting it ;)

Bulb removal is highly discouraged - if the light is on (or would be if it had a bulb), the entire SRS system is disabled.

No generic OBDII reader will clear airbags on *any* Omega.  Egay sellers universally talk shite.

Most Vauxhall specific readers should be able to either turn it off, or tell you why it can't be.
