I thought they both were good.

Kate Silverton has a lot of detractors - I think they are all gay!
Alledgedly, her coworkers have said she is a nasty piece of work. "Natasha Kaplinsky with brains" is another common statement.

I am a bit annoyed at this series - it is the Jeremy Clarkson show - give Richard Hammond and James May more time.

Clarkson is doing more than he used to - and it is spoiling the programme

Agreed. I also find that it is turning into a talk show... I reckon around 30mins is consumed with the "special guest" (now 2 at a time?), the "News" and other general drivel.

I was very disappointed with last nights show  :(

Trouble is Clarkson is on a big fat pay scale compared to May and Hamster, and he is also a major stake holder in the rights to the show. So whilst I agree I'd like to see a bit more of the others, they may want him to do a larger slice of the "work" as he's gettting a bigger slice of the pie.

Even so I still think it's one of the best shows on the Box and only Clarkson could get away with describing Keira Knightly as just an Ironing board with a face [smiley=lolk.gif]

i read recently that may and hamster are currently refusing to sign contracts for the next sreies because clarkson gets paid so much more than they do. it was in a newspaper though ,so it probably isnt true. :-/

I think Top Gear needs to be turned round quick. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel of interesting celebrities to invite, so as a chat show it's pants. The "buy a notoriously unreliable Italian 2nd hand motor and flog it to death" challenges are getting tedious and the rest of the show is just Clarkson venting his spleen and acting like a idiot.

It's a shame because Clarkson's newspaper columns show he's actually quite good at putting across a cynical view of current affairs with a motoring slant, IMHO, but it all seems to go wrong on Top Gear. Maybe because he's always got to be seen to belittle his co-presenters.

It stopped being a worthwhile motoring programme ages ago so it absolutely has to be entertaining to be a success, and it's not currently.

i enjoy his writings as well, often very amusing and he is spot on about the need for government to be as small as is possible.he is boorish and overbearing at times on tv though.

She used to be on one of the chat programs a few years ago,  I thought she came accross as a bit of a bitch.
