There's a couple of places near where I live that go from treo lanes to one just after the lights and there's always some prat that wants to undertake  :-\

Seen all manner of idiots this week though driving between Leeds and Hull, I think I've witnessed just about every bad bit of driving I can think of  :-\
Apparently the M1 north of Leeds is the worst stretch of motorway in the country for tailgating.

It doesn`t go North of Leeds does it?

I think it goes off east and picks up the A1/A64

Saw one this morning approaching a T-junction,3 cars were already ahead of him waiting to pull out when clear. This was no good for BMWman as he was turning left he took to the pavement[quite wide at this junction]went all way round corner nearly wiping out a woman and three young school kids in the process, then once round corner drove back off pavement forcing another car onto wrong side of road to avoid hitting him,and drove off merrily on his way, never even slowed down. >:( >:( >:(

Yeah it's got quite a lot of dips in it too, pretty poor quality for a recent road, fortunately not one I have to travel very often  :)

........
It's only important people who drive BMW's ......

Thank you, it's very nice of you to say so.  :y

In this modern society that we live in it is all too easy to get drawn in to criticising drivers of a certain brand of vehicle. It's very warming to know that you haven't been drawn in by all this hype.   ::) :) :y

Last night a BMW driver went through lights on red and hit the Qashqai driven by my son's mother in law. Spun Qashqai round and it will probably be a write off. Qashqai driver and passenger in bmw taken to hospital but discharged after tests. Police advised that bmw driver at fault and witnesses saying bmw just "took off". Could have been a lot worse.

You'll like this, an acquaintance, Dave, has a new 5 series every 3 years or so. On Saturday last he was due to pick up the new one. Unfortunately (snigger), someone ran into the back of the old one on Friday night, causing £3.5k damage (scratched rear bumper perhaps?) So Stealer is not happy to take in the old one until fixed, "Oh and by the way, it must be fixed by a BMW dealer, us if you like ::),However, you can use this new 5 series demo in the meantime" Thanks very much, says Dave, and drives it for 4 days before finding out that he is paying £250 per day for it! ;D ;D ;D
I love BMW owners and dealers.

BMW have had one of our Tourers in for repair (well I say in, more like in & out & in & out & in & out) eventually IN for repair to the rear suspension that has taken nearly 5 months to repair once they acknowledged there was a problem with it!!!! Bloody thing kept dropping its arse on the floor at the most inopportune moments.........Doesn't instill confidence when doing over a ton on the motorway  :o :o :o

"Oh and by the way, it must be fixed by a BMW dealer.......

This is very true for lease, fixed term finance with exchange at the end etc. You get an authentication certificate when the job is completed, which is logged and stays with the vehicles history.  :y

Of course, if you own it outright or you have financed it to own outright, you can take it to whoever you like.  :y

As the dealer had agreed to take the car in P/X before the prang I can see his point of view, as 'Dave' might have bodged it up to get rid.  ;)

Surely someone's insurance should be paying £250 a day for it?

I had some prat in a gay coloured chavved up Focus fancy his chances where 2 lanes merge to 1, right by the sign that says "Merge in turn". Which clearly he felt didn't apply to him.

However, he was less willing to sacrifice his gay shitbox than I was, so had no choice but to yield, which seemed to get him very agitated. But as he lacked the speed and ability, I'm not sure how long it took him to calm down.
