Diesel additive

Im interested to know whether diesel additives make any sort of difference to performance or consumption.
Does anyone use it regularly?

I chuck 250ml of 2 stroke in per tankful.

Definately makes it quieter / smoother and possibly a little more mpg too,

When I first got my mondeo TDDI it was running like a bag of spanners, on recommendation from talkford i used a bottle of additive in 5L of diesel (so about 5-10x recommended strength) and fed it directly from the can. It Kicked up a huuge cloud of foul smoke, then subsequently ran better (although still very agricultural by today's standards). So yes in that instance it made a difference.  ;D

I've never used it as recommended on the bottle though  :D

I used to put approx. 300ml of 2 stroke into every tankful on my old DTi

Its currently running on a very sweet smelling Tandoori flavoured oil. Makes people in cars behind me hungry apparently.  ;D
