I need a mains power adaptor, capable of pushing out 13.5 volts and 0.5amps.

Any idea where I could get one, maybe a universal one?

Even Maplins couldn't help

My big one is maplin, upto 12v at 1a, not sure they went bigger

Have you looked on ebay another option is maybe a model shop does it need to be 13.5v you also need to know if it is ac or dc output

13.5 volts is an odd supply voltage and not standard (the standard is 12 and 15V).

Any info in the instructions as to the input supply range?

CPC do a couple of switch mode supplies with 13.5V outputs

ANother option would be to get a 15V supply and put a couple of rectifier diodes in series on the output to drop the supply by 1.2-1.3V to give 13.7/8ish

Unfortunately not Mark, All I seem to have is the powerpack. The charger and book has been lost

I suspect that there is little in the way of internals to the battery pack regarding the charger circuit.

You could knock something up with an L200 (or similar) reg to provide 500mA current limit and 13.5V voltage regulation I guess....requires a bit of very basic electronic design though.

I was going to say, the other option is that Halfrauds sell trickle chargers in the form of a mains adaptor. Could always buy one of those and chop the crocodile clips off and put a jack plug on.

You do not need an acount at Farnell & can pay by credit card
