Holy hell, if our Anthem was being defamed I know that would be a very bad mistake! We love it. That's a step too far however I suppose it's all designed to anger us therefore making us the aggressor.

I personally find the National Anthem (God Save the Queen) to be utterly hiddeous.

"I Vow to Thee, My Country" is a much better option (IMHO of course).

Now the activists are after the American anthem saying it's wrapped in racist history so should be got rid of.One activist says it should be replaced by John Lennons Imagine while another one just says it's not a very good song to start with and should be revamped.

They tried to pull down the statue of the chap who wrote the tune to the Star Spangled Banner, and it's mostly stupid white snowflakes trying to opps up the rest of society. Kuntz, the lot.

On the contrary, well understood , however, Land of my Fathers is precious to me,  (Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau)  in Welsh. Has an impact on every Welsh heart. Just read the English translation and you will get my drift👍

The 'Old Man is Welsh, and insists it is translated to "Old Land of My Fathers".  He is from Carmarthen and speaks fluent Welsh.  It's both annoying and embarrasing when we are in a pub watching the RWC.

Ha ha, I bet it is,  :yWelsh is notoriously difficult to translate and can indeed have many correct translations  :: I live in the Rhondda about eight miles from where Evan and James James lived and created this in 1856 although I wasn't there at the time
