This from Twitter made me chuckle.   :y

*Omicron News*

Macron denies Germany are to be included in the ban on countries entering France.

“Germans have , and always will have the freedom to enter France at a time of their choosing “ he said.

 ;D

Didn't realise that Vichy was still in charge just across the English Channel.

I will be very  surprised if we are not locked down by the 27th of December.

After seeing the latest I think I may be spot on.

We're fit to fly - whoooo-hoooo. Back to a plague ridden UK from a pristine France where everyone is abiding by the rules. Sort of.

Same here in Spain. We now have to produce a covid passport for next three weeks to enter a cafe, restaurant or bar. We are away on holiday. Some places ask for it soon as you go in and others just conveniently forget even if the police are in there having a coffee and brandy. Wouldn’t be Spain without inconsistencies!

Those without vaccine passport that have booked xmas meals have to get officially tested. Expensive meal!

Yes the Covid Passport/Covid Pass/Vaccine Passport whatever you want to call it, that governments the world over are imposing on their people, despite there being no evidence whatsoever that it they help limit the spread of Covid-19.  :-X

Still I guess it reassures the feeble minded that their governments are doing something to protect them!  :)

Perhaps, but a very different approach to banishing them from society.

We have shown our QR codes three times so far in 12 days - once in a motorway service station near Dijon, once on check-in to our apartment, and once in the pub whilst watching last weekends F1 race.

There have been precicely zero other checks in any of the bars or resturaunts we've visited, or on any ski lifts. Mask wearing is random at best, non existent at worst. There may be rules in place, but compliance is basically bordering on nil.

Nope - family can't get out here even if I were to stay and their flights are all cancelled too. So I'd be skiing (aka drinking/eating) as billy no mates.

Testing positive on my Day2 PCR test would actually make it a lot easier to get my money back too - but sods law says I won't.

You suspect correctly.  ;D

Seems like a lot of people seem to believe that sort of stuff though, so you can't be too careful!  :)
