Thanks for ALL your supportive and/or constructive counter points made in response to my thread. :y

Yes, I will admit once I feel passionate about something I need to discuss it in the open to establish really what the situation is and my true understanding of it, which puts some people on guard as I have been told to my face that I have a "very strong presence" and are forceful in my arguments, although (I hope! ::) ::) ::)) never too insulting! :D :D ;)

Therefore when I am feeling so passionate I may well commit the sin of perceiving in something that is being said to me to be a negative comment aimed at me personally, so Entwood you are dead right mate in your thoughts on this one!! :y :y ;) ;)

Anyway I am not going to go on and on with this one and upset even the majority of you who I deeply respect!! ;) ;)  I just want to say thanks for your advice and guidance on this and on many other occasions (including of course car matters!) which I highly value, which DOES also make remaining a member of the OOF worthwhile; you are a great bunch!! (I am starting to cry now with emotion, but that is me as well! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(.

Thanks all, Holy Count, Cem, SirMoanalot, Lazydocker, Entwood and James and please try to keep me on the straight and narrow!!:y :y :y  Yes James owards and upwards for us all eh?! :y :y :y :y

I've no idea what went on, but as my Dad used to say..."Don't let the b'stards grind you down"  :y

While you are still in the kitchen ...two sugars in mine please  :D

Entwood made an excellent point about things written on (over?) the net are so easily taken out of context without that face to face interplay.

I strongly remember chatting online to an american young (?) lady when she made some mildly amusing comment to which I innocently replied "Ho Ho Ho" ( as santa might do). She went up like a roman candle, "who are you calling a ho?" etc. etc ---- never spoke to her again  :-[

Anyway --- straying there .... point is we all do and say things to upset and we often get upset ourselves ----- if you find you have offended, best to apologise and shake (virtual) hands ... life really is too short !

Not sure this thread is necessary at this stage, its obvious that passions were running high last night, and still are today.  Maybe waiting a day or 2 may have been beneficial.

For those that missed it, I deleted the entire thread last night, as, to be perfectly honest, I was far to busy to disecting the abusive threads from the intelligent ones.  To be honest, I have far better things to do than keep clearing up the mess  >:(, esp as I was trying to clear up the mess that a VMWare update had made to the server (apologies to Auto Addict who got a rather terse reply down the phone  :-[).  The Admins give up significant amounts of their free time to manage this site, and really don't need to have to give up even more to sort out the mess made when people have toy throwing sessions  >:(

I never normally publically post specific things about members, but its obvious that Lizzie Zoom and Ljay are never going to see eye to eye.  May I respectfully suggest that you avoid each other's posts, seeing as you seem to bite at each other  >:(.  I can find evidence of both of you baiting the other.  I should add you are not the only 2 who are at each other's throats  >:(

The following paragraph is aimed at every single member of OOF: With a community the size we have, obviously we are going to have members who do not agree and do not get along with certain other members.  However, the forum guidelines clearly state that being abusive to other members will not be tolerated.  Obviously there is a difference between light hearted ribbing, and malicious intent.  The decision of the Admin who deals with it is final - if you don't like that....

If any member feels they are being intimidated, please contact the online Admin, or myself, who will look into it.  We may or may not agree, and we may or may not have a quiet word with the other parties - purely down to Admin discretion.  The Admins know some people are more sensitive than others (we hope our members do as well, and act accordingly).  If we are unsure, we may chose to discuss it privately.  Thats the way it is, like it or lump it  >:(

FFS, we are all supposedly grown-ups  >:(  >:(  >:(

Anyone have an issue with what I have said, my finger is hovering over the ban button, as all of the Admin team have far more important non-OOF things going on to waste excessive amounts of time sorting out childish bickering  >:(

Apologies to Hotel21 for deleting his thread about the Ladybord books - sorry mate, I really had too much on to be able to sort the valid threads from the intolerable ones  :-[

Having spent the last week watching, reading and promising myself that i would stay out of things I feel that i need to comment on this thread!
Lizzie- You come accross as being self righteous and hard done to! Yet in last nights deleted thread you resorted to throwing insults over something that i said 2 weeks ago. this was in response to something that jimbob said! Indeed i was not even online, so why drag me into it? How dare you? Then claim to be so upset by it all!
We are married, yes, but two very different people with our own views and opinions, interesting we hold similar opinions of you isn't it?
You are the very reason that i chose to walk away. You may not like being bullied but you do a good job of bullying!
A friend commented on my lack of posting and asked 'She isn't staying away, why are you?'
Your holier than though attitude sucks! You are not the only one to have been there, done that, you know!

Admin I apologise for the upset this will cause, but felt she needed telling!

To coin a now well used phrase 'GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE' and come into the real world!
You certainly give me the impression that we are beneath you so why debate with us?????????

Whatever Ljay!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Frankly you are not worth debating anything with as you are certainly one of those very tiny minority on OOF who throw childish insults at other oof members, as you have just admitted doing to me two weeks ago, after doing the same at Dusty....oh yes and at a newbie you bullied madam who quickly turned tail and ran away from our Forum! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

You are an offensive individual and I am going to now do what I threatened before.....ignore any silly little girl comments you make! >:( >:(

Bye bye!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

First and Foremost .. to TB 2 things...

Sincere thanks for EVERYTHING you do to keep the forum going

Secondly .. I wasn't on-line much last night as we had visitors ... and I didn't even realise a thread had got "excited" and deleted .. so I was unaware of the background to the first post. I therefore apologise if my thoughts have stepped on any toes or inflamed/restoked a fire you tried to extinguish.

I will withdraw from this thread and hope that others do likewise. I totally agree with your sentiments.

I thought this was a car forum, not the local debating society.

A joke was posted, many found it funny, some did not and it felt like we were told we were not allowed to find it funny because it doesnt suit everyones morals.  If everybody reacted like that, there would be no jokes, and the world would be a lot sadder place for it.

Everyone is entitled to their views, and people should not be so belittling to those who dont share them.

Live and let live!
