After fixing the headlamp washer pump, discovered one of the headlight washers doesn't work - it extends, but not squirty squirty.  FFS.

It was a cheap chinky one and lasted the warranty.  The thieving bastards at JLR want £140 for one, so it'll have to be another from ching chong :(
Surely it's only a block with channels in it and a jet fixed to the top? How can it stop working if it's being fed?

God only knows, but its not particularly uncommon.  I suppose like the PFL Omega ones (very similar setup), they either block due to poor screenwash concentrations, or the seals fail.

I'm always using a decent screenwash mix, and usually use the Halfords Berry concentrate after freezing troubles with Euroshite's triple QX shite, so its a bit annoying.  Plus I think its a bumper off job to replace, which is a pain because it needs a 2nd set of hands.

Went shopping for SWMBO at Sainsbury's this afternoon. Bedlam, kids running around the aisles screaming their heads off, playing with the merchandise, with the parents either unwilling or probably unable to keep their little reprobates under control. As for the staff/management, not a word. Next time i'll make sure i go round when the little buggers are at school or nursery.  ;D

Will that be after your 7am drive at 72 mph in the fast lane? ;D
Fixed that slanderous statement  ;D and no, i only have to walk about 300 yards to get to the sodding place  :P. Used for convenience only Varche.

I am absolutely tearing my hair out with the standard of driving in this country.

When I am cruising at a solid 60 on a 60 road, keeping a very considerate distance from anything in front, I find that I either have something so far up my @rse I can't see it's headlights, OR I end up rapidly approaching someone dawdling at 38mph in a national, on a straight, dry road where it's safe to make so much more progress.

When (very safely) overtaking the dawdlers on A roads, (without ever getting close to them) I am often met by all manner of repeated, aggressive headlight flashing / gestures, and often even them booting it to try and stop me passing.

And then the middle-laners! I regularly do a very short stretch of motorway (3 junctions) a couple of times a week, and people are literally driving in lane 2 at 60mph, having not recently overtaken anything / not about to overtake anything - with lane 1 totally empty!

Leaving the choice of entering lane 3 at around 75/80mph to pass them, and risk some knob coming up behind you from nowhere at 120mph, or sitting behind them, hoping they move into the totally empty lane to their left. I'm not saying I do this, but one could easily just drive at 70mph in a totally empty lane one, and pass all the the slower moving traffic to the right!

I was also in heavy motorway traffic the other day (all 3 lanes crawling) and half a mile from my exit, and the amount of people who used the hard shoulder for half a mile to bypass the congestion and come off quicker, almost made by blood boil   >:(

Absolutely surrounded by people who are incompetent, selfish, brain dead, entitled wastes of oxygen.

It was never quite this bad. What is going on? Reduction in test pass standards? Surely it can't still be people out of practice since Covid? Or - controversial, but is it something to do with the vast influx of foreigners infiltrating this country who have never actually passed a UK test?

I can quite honestly say I don't enjoy driving (or travelling) by car in the UK at all, anymore... these days I prefer to look out for advance first class train tickets, where I can get an individual, single seat reserved to myself, and not have to sit anywhere near any other tinker.....

It's a very simple answer, James, and I've posted it before. When the sheriff leaves town, the outlaws run riot.

The easiest approach is to Opps the lot of them and just do what you need to do to go about your day.

Relax in the knowledge that you're getting your day done inspite of everyone else.

JLR stop selling bushes, insisting instead that you have to blow £1200 for around £160 (at JLR prices) of bushes.

Went to the hot rod breakfast meet, ordered my breakfast and a coffee before the rest and said outside and she put that on the order. Coffee turned up and then meals started to be brought out, in the end I said what has happened to my order? Turns out some one inside said it was theirs , owner came out and said sorry and I got a free coffee but then when the food turned up it was white toast not the brown I ordered. Still the turnout of rods and rides made up for it!

Today was officially the first day of cijnts on bikes season. Barely 3 miles from the house had to swerve to avoid a series of them "filtering" down the centre line. It's annoying enough in stationary traffic but between two lanes of opposing traffic both of which are moving at speed is beyond retarded.  >:(

I should have been clearer, motobicyclists... Although the principle is the same... And it wasn't just one or two bikes but around 20 all trying to overtake the same vehicles. Cutting round a vehicle and standing on the brakes for a split second too long means that a couple of cars back, you're basically asking for your mates.to.at best pile into each other or worse get bunched into the oncoming traffic with nowhere to go. Still,.the quicker they try and kill themselves, the sooner they'll be out of the way.

Just because you can accelerate to 100 in a sneeze, it doesn't make you Valentino Rossi. And on no planet is the A29 200 yards north of Brinsbury College a place to weave around two columns of opposing traffic doing 45+. Not least because there's a blind crest into a central island at the college entrance but also.one of the vehicles they were so desperate to get around was a foreign artic.

I wasn't surprised as I approached Billingshurst to see the remains of a Suzuki GSX R held into the hedge with Police tape.

Heading north, this is where I encountered them. The artic was following traffic, ie not at the head of the column, heading south. As were the bikes, presumably heading to the café at the top of Bury Hill.
