Or, every time a dinghy lands on the south coast of England, the RAF drop a bomb on Paris.  >:D

Those barstewards at Plusnet. They sent me a letter about 3 weeks ago (whilst I was abroad) saying they'd cut me off for a week if I didn't respond to their letters about switching to fibre. And on Monday, sure enough they've cut my internet off. Dunno if it'll come back on in a week or not.

Anyhow, I just realised that when travelling I use a "3" Sim in my PC/WIFI hot spot. They're £10 for 20GB (in the UK) - which is plenty. They last a month, then you bin it and put another one in. So £10 per month, no contract.

Just checked the cheapest fibre broadband in my area - £20 per month.

Huh? Why shouldn't I just bin the fibre broadband?

I use a Three SIM in drones, 120GB for £40, lasts 12m.  Granted, that's "only" around 10GB a month, but is cheaper :y

For basic web surfing and email, cellular internet is fine.  Gaming is a no-no, and streaming video can be a bit intermittent at times.  So kinda depends on your needs.

As for Plusnet, they probably wouldn't enforce anything unless their hand was tied, probably by Openreach as part of the exchange closure programme.

Made worse by the hotel wifi not working at all, and whatever network EE has dumped me on out here being about as good as EE in the UK.

Royal Bank of Scotland, they are so slow at processing everything. Registered for online business banking, apparently now it takes 7-10 days to process the paperwork and send me the details.

They do know the likes of Monzo/Revolute/Starling all process this kind of stuff within hours, it not minutes  ::)

Was not my choice, a previous Director who is now AWOL made the call. I've had to contact RBS to update signatories etc, taking forever.

For Starling Bank, I did a live chat this evening and some changes were made to the account within 10 minutes of the request.
