Boiler has decided not to give us hot water...lukewarm at best. Heating is fine.... >:(
Sticky 3 way valve?

Is that an easy fix
First of all, there is a lever on the side normally, so you can lock it to HW (it defaults to CH when not energised).  Initially try watching it with just a call for hot water, and see if the lever moves.  If it doesn't, manually lock the lever in the HW position to test - that should force the heat towards the hot water tank, rather than radiators.

Essentially, that valve will direct heated water from the boiler to either the rads, the hot water cylinder, or both, depending on current and requested temps.

Obviously, don't rule out faulty tank stats or settings.

I'm making an assumption that your boiler is original, and hasn't been replaced with a combi

I'f you're stuck, gimme a bell.

Ah, a combi of won't have said valve.  Somebody has changed that then, as I know your house would have originally had a proper system, not combi shite ;D

There could be a HW temp or HW flow on the boiler.  Failing that, or if that looks right, could try a reset.

Idiots who can't reverse, I couldn't believe what I was seeing in the Lidls car park whilst waiting for SWMBO,  I cannot understand why such bad drivers buy themselves a virtually new car.

;D ;D It was a momentary loss of concentration. It was dark, her car wasn't there when I got into mine. In the thirty seconds it took me to start my car, put my belt on, engage gear and pull away, she had nipped in locked up and facked off.

Probably the diverter valve or maybe just it's diaphragm, we've replaced ours a couple of times over the last 10 or so years

The Dentist....had to go for a check up today, swmbo and me. We had an 11.00am and 11.20am appointments respectively. We got there early, they were not busy (empty) and we were out having a coffee in Banbury at 11.00am. When we moved over here, we registered with this dentist in Banbury, and although they have NHS plastered over the front, we were told we couldn't be NHS, but could go private. They do two tier private, so we had the first tier. Today, the price for a check up had gone up to £59 and to cap it all, when we tried to make an appointment for 6 months time, the b******s wanted £20 each deposit.!!!!! I told them to naff off. It may not seem much, but why should they have our money in their bank account for 6 months >:( >:(

So many people just don't bother turning up, Tony, a bit like restaurant bookings. At least they get £20 if you're a no show.
Our dentist (NHS) charges £20 on top of the next appointment fee, if you make one.
You're posting a lot in "What has pissed you off today", yer miserable old bastard. Fickin cheer up  ;D
