Apologies for the outage earlier when rebooting an ONT made the router go unresponsive.  Sadly, it's likely to do it again, and again, and again...

Root cause might have been found by temporarily running a cable between the router and the ONT, seems stable now .  Which means the fault is an intermittent one in the hotch potch of cabling between the 2 devices, which from memory is 5 separate pieces of cable. *sigh*

The conglomeration that designed and signed off that POS need lining up and shooting.

I suspect the brief was simply:

1300cc, turbocharged, wwd and able to fit on a half euro pallet complete with gearbox so that the various brands don't have to try to make it fit. Oh and bonus points to make it so that if you can see a fastening you cannot be able to touch it, and if you can touch it then under no circumstances must it be visible.

They obviously omitted longevity andserviceability.

The numbskull on an electric scooter who ran into the back of the Range Rover on his scooter & then ran off over the railway bridge, I'm too old to go running after him but I did reverse over the scooter so he won't be riding that again anytime soon. A couple of small scratches & a couple of tiny dents on the tailgate, so a call out to " Chips away" sometime.😡

Indeed, and I'd normally just shrug my shoulders over it. But it really is a piece of shit.  Completely unresponsive for the first minute or 2 after turning on, not even volume, so late at night it wakes everyone up.  The apps are crap, which means every time I have to restart a stream on ITVX - like every ad break - I have to sit through the same ads again.  It constantly renames the input sources based on god knows what, and doesn't list them as HDMI1/2/3/4, but decides to call most of them PC, nor are they in order, so you have to keep trying each one in turn (bearing in mind they change their positions in the list as well).

I recognise the unresponsive bit. We've got a 32" 3 year old one on a shelf in the kitchen, I turn it on to watch the six o'clock news while I'm out there at teatime and it takes ages before the remote actually does anything.
I get round this by turning it on at five to. 
And.....I always remember to turn the volume down on the one in the living room before we go to bed. She gets up at 5:20 and I don't fancy being woken up at that time by breakfast tv at full volume.

Main road closed going to my workshop , had to take the posted diversion along single track lanes. Numpty f**ks coming the other way have no clue how to drive, bloody range rover not wanting to get wheels "dirty" and then when I got to a junction some idiot didnt want to back up . They only had to go back 2 car lengths but I would have had to back up a good few hundred feet to the first passing spot, Then when I drove around them to get out of their way they went tits on the horn . Tommy tankers.
 Road was open when I came back as they were just removing cats eyes , that means they are going to ruin the surface with tar and chippings that will be ripped up before they have set by speeding idiots.
