I didnt actually see it until I saw the pics later that night.
I could just feel it and wasnt sure exactly where it was or wasnt, which caused a degree of  panic.
Wife almost passed out when I ran into the house with it attached, which didnt allay me fears much. 
I also had another major worry when they took my BP in the Ambulance.
It was 203 / 105, which then made me worry that the aneurysm might burst.
That would have made the eye injury a minor concern.

I was booked to have my first MRI scan after the Aneurysm op, on Saturday afternoon.
Needless to say, that didnt happen. 

I'm guessing as the pre MRI questions, "do you have any metal in your body" might have caused you to fail the pre-checks, lol

Doc who took it out said I will never know how lucky I was. Told me to buy a lottery ticket.
Tbh, it was terrifying, because I wasnt sure how much damage I had done.
Had to hold it in that position until Paramedics got there and bandaged it to my head.
Then over three hours at the Hospital before it was pulled out.

Bloody hell! That couldn't have been any closer! Glad you get to see another day!

Seriously though, looks like it could have been catastrophically worse, so glad it was just a mere flesh wound.

Btw, yes I did have a Tetanus boost. Also supposed to have a CT scan just to be sure to be sure, but I swerved that as I would have had to wait until about 4am because of a lack of Porters. 
I had been there since noon and at 9.30pm I had enough and called myself a Taxi.

It was a very nice Merc plug in hybrid. Dont know which model but it was a very nice ride home.

Last time I had to have one, following a trip in an ambulance, I'm so glad it was the Hattie Jacques type old, experienced, big old bird type nurse, rather than the pretty young things that had spent ages cleaning me up.  You knew she'd just do it right first time, rather than having to have a few attempts.  And you kinda feel vulnerable bending over with those bedgowns on and your arse hanging out...

Because he asked for it, thinking it was going to be young, fit nurse. Bet there was a bit of a whiff from the arris area when he saw Hattie

Following my mate towing his hot rod on a trailer and I kept close as the trailer brake lights only working dim on one side when this smeg head joins of the slip road between us leaving no braking room. Nothing behind me and if he adjusted his speed would have joined safely, long slip road as well so plenty of time to back off.
