Phone up the people you bought it from and tell them you have spoken to trading standards and Watchdog.  Tell them you have kept a diary of events with dates and names.

Then add that your Solicitor has suggested that you give the Seller 24 hours to sort Samsung out for a full replacment, casually mentioning that a 12 month warrany is nearly up and will be claiming extra warranty period for all the days that is was under report/repair time (trick I learnt from That's life (Ezter Rantzen) Years ago) If you then dont get satifaction then you allow Watchdog to interview you and add to thier caseload regards thier company.

unusually for Skruntie, that's actually pretty good advice..

Jaime...    Oxfordshire TS are usually pretty damn good at backing up consumers in matters like this....

Chrissy is on ipod no 4 now....    having had apple replace them free of charge on 3 occasions , based on Oxfordshire TS advice and the sale of Goods act....

and your consumer rights DO NOT END WITH THE WARRANTY

you can claim a proportion of your costs against beyond Television, for up to 6 years from the date of purchase.

SIX YEARS

make damn sure they understand you are NOT asking for a replacement or refund under the warranty , but under your rights within the sale of goods act.

this removes Samsung from the equation.

if they answer no , IMMEDIATELY call the TS office and issue a formal complaint.

Problem with companies they kow what they can get away with.

Most consumers dont

Company v consumer = Company forces the issue in thier favour :-/

As Pete Elite said earlier , standing outside the shop telling everyone how crap they are seems to work . I tried this with a bike I bought my son a few years ago .He'd had it about a month and the front forks came out of the housing , chucking him onto the road (luckily he was ok). I took it back and they said they'd repair it , so I said it was dangerous and I wanted my money back .  They refused so I stood outside and after about 15 mins they took me in the office and gave me a new raleigh instead .(which is probably what I should have bought in the 1st place)
They don't seem to like the bad publicity , especially at the moment .
BeyondTV are an internet outlet, based in Blackpool.  Unlikely to make a difference...

Well then Jamie i take it they've got an email address  8-), bombard the bl**dy thing by getting everybody you know with a PC to keep sending  :questions (letting them know of course) about their products especially said TV, asking what their replacement procedure is incase of persistent faults :D.

Feel sympathy,
Had my Samsung TV 6 months then started to go wrong. went away for repair in July. Was away for 2 weeks (big difference watchin a portable and a 37") Got it back, lasted a week. taken away again, returned after another 2 weeks the blow me , the bloody thing broke down again after a week. Called Samsung and demanded a new set. Told that if I wanted to contact cb or trading standards they would tell me the same that my contract was with the seller not them and that they could repair the set as many times as they like under the terms of the guarentee. What happens once out of guarentee and still does the same. Oh we can sell you another...... Not bloody likely. I asked to speak to their Specialist consumer agents (his words not mine) and was told they could call me but it might take up to a week???????? (must be busy with the thousands of irate customers). Took tv back to PC World where I bought from with the repair reciepts and hats off to them they changed the set no problem with an apology that they didnt have another Samsung that size. But could offer a more expensive samsung as a replacement. I declined and paid another £60 to swap to another manufacturer. Ok maybe all manufacturs may use the same parts to build tvs but they wont have the same attitude as Samsung. Would never by Samsung again.
