Don't know if this will work in Vista. But worth a go.
Start
Run
Type cmd and press OK
Type ipconfig /release
then
ipconfig /renew
then
ipconfig
? What is the number in IP address (something like 192.168.0.2)
? What is the number in Default Gateway
Tried that and at the end the right numbers come up, still not working though.
:-/
now try this..
open the same command line..
and write "ping www.omegaowners.com"
and open explorer , from the adress bar try to write the ip and go
(other members please dont try that)
[/highlight]
The address bar comes up........
Did the ping test to address that BT gave me and came back 4 times, which he said was right.
OK done that, get a replay for a few seconds, then went then nothing.
if you get the replys then network is ok..
if from internet explorer adress bar you write the ip and get some result int.exp have problem with DNS or else..(which I dont expect)
but I'M sure your problem is explorer itself..
