There is a virus out there at the mo stoppinginternet explorer connecting. Try installing firefox and see if you can get any web pages on that

if you get the replys then network is ok..
if from internet explorer adress bar you write the ip and get some result int.exp have problem with DNS or else..(which I dont expect)

but I'M sure your problem is explorer itself..

Thanks cem, tried putting firefox on with a cd and it said that the file was corrupt, think it might be a Job for a PC Doctor. :'( :'(

Gving up for tonight, PC is upstairs and am shattered, all this running up and down  ::)with the lap top, and my whisky glass is downstairs :y
