I find it somewhat dissapointing that the simple
original post asking folks to
consider their use of language has been hijacked by some who are using words like:
small minded, draconian, whinging, intolerant and from
amigov
All this banter still does'nt detract from the fact we're expected to bow down to the minority should we offend them
May I ask just how you decided that the "majority" wish to swear and only a "minority" dislike it
As I see it, the whole point was made very early on ... but some folks just won't see it ... it is all about respecting others opinions and views .. but some just want their own way under the banner of "freedom".... please remember .. if you demand a right, you, by definition, give others the right to make demands as well.
The English language is the most beautiful language and has more descriptive words than any other, swearing and "masked" swearing just demonstrates a lack of vocabulary as well as that lack of respect.
