I'm too fat to eat pasties.

I weaken about twice a year. Time before last, I was delayed in Ipswich, missed my lunch and tried a standard pasty from "West Cornwall Pasty Co". Nothing to write home about for £2.
Last time, I got a 50p pasty from Aldi. Smashing!
Haven't been to Cornwall since 1954, and my mum would never have let us eat a pasty - "You never know what sort of rubbish they put in them". A few years later, mum and dad went into the pub business. Mum was a brilliant cook, and people came from miles around for her pasties.
I know exactly what she put in them... :)

Ah Jereboam, the olde secret receipe!

You can tell me...........I won't tell anyone.........

You
really wouldn't want to know! Perhaps my last sentence should have read "I didn't eat pasties for years, because I knew exactly what she put in them..."
Tasty, though, or so I was told.
