Had it done yesterday at local vx dealer for 36 + VAT - I just couldn't wait till next time in Brackley :P  Its brilliant, sport mode is a million times more responsive and normal driving around town is now a pleasure rather than clunky.

well mine definitely feels smoother, especially when accelerating - but the biggest change I noticed is when the torque converter locks up, it used to go clunk, then the revs dropped. Now the revs drop - no clunk at all - in fact unless you're watching the rev counter you don't even notice it happening ... job's a good 'un  :y

Thanks Jaime for upgrade today.  :)
Certainly smoother than before - seems to be less "lag" when it does change.
Looking forward to another drive tomorrow..  8-)

I could really use a software upgrade on the gearbox on my meega - any chance you might make the trip to Scotland? :y

Alternatively, I'll be in Oxford at the end of the month, I could drop in to Northamptonshire on the way back up if that suits?

I'm about 6m from Jnc 10 of M40, down the A43 dual carriageway.

Presumably, yours is a 1998 or later?

That's on the way to Silverstone from Oxford then? Not much of a detour at all.

Mine is a 2000 2.5 V6 Auto. Car seems slow to shift up. Will the software upgrade help?

I would say the shift points are only tweaked, rather than drastically changed.

The benefits are smoother changing, and less 'slip' in the box.

Sounds like a plan! I'll be down in Witney on Friday 30th driving back to Edinburgh on Saturday 31st. If either late Friday afternoon or saturday morning suits you, that would be great! Be a great chance to test it out heading back up the motorway afterwards too. I'll PM you nearer the time if thats OK  :y
