Hopefully, on this basis, we have settled opinions  :y

Until those who are otherwise persuaded rejoin the encounter.....

Well I felt it necessary to have a wee Wild Turkey in the interim - and very nice it was too 8-) :y

I'm on a no-name malt in a plain, clear, labelless bottle.....  Perks of knowing someone who drives whisky tankers for a living.   ;)

Guessing Highland, but not too far north.  Cask strength, needing a wee lump of ice to wake it up and see it better dressed.....    ;D

Only on the Bells tonight, tis a good price at the moment.... :y

Was it you whom fed me an unnamed malt at an OOF meet once?  ::) which resulted in me hugging tunnie, and not recalling the drive home?  ;D

That sounds very civilised - enjoy :y :y

Had a meeting with the Head POI branch years ago.  Got horribly drunk on Cream of the Barley (a favourite of his)

Managed - just - to get to the nearest nick and had them send for my wife who appeared in her three week old car. Just before setting off home I was violently sick and boked out through the open passenger window down the door.

I had to clean up the dried result the following morning before she headed off to an early court but foolishly used a squeegee putting a sizeable scrape onto the immaculate paintwork.  I was unpopular to say the least.

Since then I can only drink Bourbon as the smell of any other whisky/ey goes for me.

Happy days :-/
