Driveway battle (almost won).....
« on: 02 January 2010, 17:43:18 »

Three and a half days of shoveling on my driveway and finally, I`ve cleared two 400 yard long wheeltracks in the 12" deep snow and now 'Lazarus Landy' is able to traverse the hilly-track to/from home.......although Lazarus is an old, only off-road workhorse (no MOT or Tax etc.), I can at least use it to get nearer to civilisation and tarmac roads.......Gawd, this Winter is a toughie! :'(

This years project, fit 2 suffolk colt lawn mowers on to the front of the landy and convert them into mini wheel track snow blowers.

Seriously though Debs, well done I would have done the 1st 5 yards and looked at the next 375 yards and said stuff it.

I feared that might be the case......so, until the pup-mobile is water-tight, I`m a pedestrian. :(

Funnily enough......I am considering just that! :D

A skew-mounted front blade; cut from the side of a large diameter steel pipe (scrapyard).....industrial castors mounted on each end of the blade and a mechanism for lifting/adjusting ploughing height. ;)

A nice, welding project for the Summertime. :y
