I've stopped buying the Gillette Fusion stuff, it's even more expensive out here by the time its imported. I've upgraded to the Gillette 7 O clock razors (cut throat type) with the shaving brush.  :y Much easier to use as well and cost is next to zero.

'babyliss for men i-trimmer' is the only way to go. u can set stuble length to the 0.5 of a mm from 0.5mm to 15mm and the latest model has a regular electric shaver attatchment. comes with a stand and a charger and when fully charged lasts me weeks without recharging.

I have used Gilette for years, moving through their range to whatever came out, but can't abide the new Fusion blades as the head is enormous and clumsy.

Their current ad campaign is trying to get you to convert from MachIII to Fusion with a range of sportsmen (now pulled due to press coverage on some of them??).

I wrote to them to say that if they withdrew MachIII and olny sold the stupid Fusion, I would change to Wilkinson sword.

The Fusion is like shaving with a Bissell floor sweeper  >:(

If you haven't tried it, use Original Source avocado shave gel in the stainless steel can-it is fabulous and 10x better than any of the Gilette gels  :y

And what is it with razor advertising?

I have never seen more over the top stupidity than the Gilette ads, firstly with the whole being a real man "the best a man can get" cheesy American pap and now the sickening sports one.  Eeuugh.

Wilkinson Sword is horrendous too with that stupid David Brent style affair on that cheesy gimp which makes my skin crawl.

Its a razor-how about advertising one that you can get refills for life without having to change every time some muppet comes up with the next sales idea, that works without clogging up, lasts a week and doesn't go stubble-pluckingly blunt when your wife pinches it!!
Like the Tesco mobile ad-lets have some reality.

I am picturing that dubious gimp on the WS ad stroking his chin and now feel nauseous.  Time to grow a beard.

Electric for me, with wet / dry option.

Panasonic 8163, old model now, but they have a similar one out.

about £180, so not cheap, but not that much more than gell and blades etc added up.

best one ive ever used from wet, or various electric shavers.

Electric shavers give me a rash so wet shave for me. Current favourite is Wilkinson Sword Titanium something or other. Just as good as Gillette but a lot cheaper! Still use gillette shaving foam though! :y

I've got one of those.  Don't like it.  I bought it as a replacement for my Wahl trimmer when it wouldn't recharge any more.  Eventually e-mailed Wahl and got a replacement battery for a couple of quid and I'm all set for another 10 years of trimming.

I've sported a trimmed beard for years, and I shave the unbearded bits with a Braun shaver - I'm on my third in about 30 years - highly recommended.  Used to let the barber do the trimming, but now I have a lady hairdresser instead, and I don't trust her with the facial ornamentation.

I need to get hold of some proper moustache wax, as, being unemployed, I've cultivated a rather flamboyant upper lip decoration.  Hair styling wax doesn't work.

(Had to stop using the first hair styling wax I tried - it worked reasonably well, but every time I sat in the armchair, the bl**dy cat jumped on me and tried to lick the wax of my moustache.  Weird :-/)

There has just GOT to be a one-liner in there somewhere.
