I thought about it, but went 80l instead after an online chat with a certain Global Moderator who had an 80l in his.

Thought 100l may struggle with Bose shelf.

It would fit... Mine's a 90, same length as your 80 but 400mm Diameter (which is what the 100L is) but would be tight for access to the Carin and possibly the spare :-/ :-/

Also... The mountings for the 90 wer a royal PITA whereas I believe the 80 fits nicely to the chassis rails?

Sorry to hear of the problems BTW... Sure it's actually something silly and easy to rectify :y :y

I removed the CARiN to give more room.  The 80l fits nicely, giving a bit of space around it to ram extra junk that she insists on packing when we go away ::)

Too much potential for a cock up and leave a car unusable, which is a problem if people have traveled large distances  :(

Working tired, as well, instead of throwing in the towel until another day when you start to flag.

I really believe in stages would work well.

1. get the spare manifold down to KW who has kindly offered to drill/tap it for a reasonable no of beer tokens.

2. Spend one day max fitting the manifold and gas injector rail and 4 bits of pipe. This is basic stuff, nothing technical. Your car runs as before. Don't forget to clean the breathers before fitting !.

3. Fit the vapouriser and connect to the water supply to the carb and the output to the rail. Again nothing tech, just drill a couple of holes and fit a couple of bolts.

4. Fit the tank and do the pipe and solenoid/ gauge cable run. A bit of help would be a good idea here to get the best positioning.

5. Next finish off wiring and check/ commision everything.

The first 3 steps could be done easily by most Miggy owners capable of servicing, and to do the last couple, well a day, 2 max, provided all the bits were available.

Yep... It can be done in a weekend if you know what you're doing (which Kevin and Chris both do on the LPG side and TB does on the strip/rebuild side) but you need to work methodically ;)

I'd be more than happy to commit to a weekend for a conversion... But it has to be with the option for an extra day to "tidy up"
