I have come in late on this debate Nick, but am in full agreement with your sentiments :y :y :y :y :y

I believe and love God, having also felt the "hand" of God's power on at least three ocassions that I can really justify.  I am a Child of God, as I believe we all are.

As Nick expressed, I find some of the personal comments made during this debate against those of us who believe highly offensive >:( >:( >:(  I am neither stupid nor without intelligent thought processes, which are totally sane. 

If you don't believe that is your businesss, but do not disrespect me for my beliefs and love of God please!!!!!! ;) ;)

Been following without commenting as rather surprised at some of the ill informed vitriol. It is a very hackneyed myth that religion causes most wars, extremism does however. Being ill informed creates a fertile field for extremism so beware of it.

I am a Christian, of the most ancient tradition. I usually keep that to myself but thought it pertinent - as I voted yes!

I, too, voted yes. It might be regarded as myth that religion causes most wars and can be postulated that extremism is the actual culprit. However man, at heart, is tribal and hugely competetive ... he will go to war for many reasons (many he will not even be aware of) and religion (or any other extremist view) is a convenient excuse and one oft used (in various watered down guises) for much of the horrors inflicted upon mankind by mankind itself.

i've said all i'm ever going to say on the subject of religion on the oof (maybe), because everyone has there own views and no amount of words will shake that, it's something people have to make up their own minds on.

well, that and I'm terrified of Lizzie  :o :o ;D ;D ;D
