My sympathies Albs, I had a reaction to Amoxicillin last year - totally different to your nasty experience - I got the rash, felt a bit weak and that was it. Until two days later ALL the outer layer of skin on both feet sloughed off like socks.

Urgent GP appointment to request "epipen" and don't handle any penicillin tablets or capsules at all !!! semisynthetic or not! it makes no difference the reaction is to the penicllin component even though you were fine before  :y good to know you're hunky dory  ;) have been a london paramedic for 13 years and stabbed lots of peeps... not in the criminal sense of course..  ::)

Should have stayed for the follow up Albs, seen these epipens before, for people severly allergic to stings or nuts etc. Just stab it into your leg or wherever i believe?

Glad your better, sounds nasty. Go see the Doctor. :y

Yep... Auto inject :y But don't stab it into the top of the thigh or you can snap the needle when the adrenaline goes in ::)

I find the side of the thigh the best place with SWMBO... It will also go through clothes OK ;)

Going to make a doctors appt. monday.Havent felt good today.Light headed,dizzy,lethargic, presumably from low blood pressure. :-/

You will get "Peaks and Troughs" for about 5-7 days after the initial attack... Did they give you a course of pills to take when you left (starting with a large number and reducing down)?

No Paul wasnt given anything. Plan is to take it easy until Monday, then ring the Doc. :y

As long as he has a cordless/mobile phone then it's within the law... Looked into it myself several years back when I had to work in a warehouse alone at night

Correct. :y.......supplied with both. My call really,could have called in sick, but not my style tbh. If you can walk, you can work imo. ;)
Tbh, not much work involved, if I still had to graft it would be a bit different. :y
