I would've thought that goes without saying.

Omega, cheap(ish) to buy, run, maintain and insure. Quality built to last. I always tell people that Omegas are the perfect compromise between speed, power, performance, luxury, economy, maintenance, style, prestige, comfort etc etc.

BMW, overpriced, over rated nothing special, with lots of badge snobbery and bad (arrogant) drivers.

But that's just my opinion!

Top of the range Omega Vs. a top of the range B.M. 5 series (M5).

Hmmmm.... I wonder?

Even if you compared the V8 Monaro (am I allowed to say that word?) with the M5, I'm sure there would still be no contest...

You are trying to say that one car is better than another merely because it is faster, which isn't really a good comparison. That is only one aspect, what about someone who doesn't want to go fast?

But then you'd be paying twice as much to run it for half the comfort. I think most people have been brainwashed to think that BMWs are superior, and they subconciously perpetuate the myth.

The car in front, is a Toyota

The car cutting you up/speeding/tailgating/driving on phone/driving like an idiot/ is a BMW.

The only way to settle this would be to find two equally priced, equally spec'd vehicles of the two marques of the same age.  Not possible.

I agree with your first point, but you are equally brainwashed to think that everyone who drives a BMW is of the tailgating persuasion!   :P

Not brainwashed no, but my unbiased opinions, from my many, many observations, is that most of the cars performing said acts, are BMWs. Personal observations, not brainwashed.

Nothing to do with the 3 series being the top selling, family saloon for several years, meaning there are shed loads on the road?

Anyways, I thought 'Audi' drivers were the cocks of the highway?
