Picture the scene....

You pop to the stealers in your 3.2 saloon at lunch time for 20 litres of oil and 5 litres of coolant. Chuck same in the boot along with the shovel that's a remnant of the recent snowy weather.

You come to pull out of the stealers' car park. It's a busy road and you need to turn right. You spot a gap between an approaching car to your left and one that's just passed from the right.

Do you:

1) Be patient. There'll be a larger gap soon.
2) Unleash everything the V6 has got to give and then wonder what the "thud" and subsequent smell of antifreeze emanating from the boot was all about.

Id rather clean up the 5ltrs of coolant than the 20ltrs of oil  ;D

I can think of worse things your boot could smell of.

hopefully you managed to save some of the coolant?

carpet out, spray with TFR, then pressure wash  :y

And be glad it wasnt the oil  ::)

Fortunately the oil seems to have survived, and only a little coolant leaked out. There's now more packing tape than plastic around the can, thanks to our amenable stores guy. ;D

Have washed my hands about 15 times but can still smell it. ::)

I spilt oil in the Carltons boot - never managed to get it clean again :( :(

When I was a lot lot younger my good friend had an egg delivery business. He was belting through York one day and had to make a choice between hitting a Porsche or a stone wall. Not many of 600 dozen eggs survived. ;D ;D

once had a couple of friends (1 male 1 female) use one of my cars as a motel room, suffice to say they left a fluid in my car that is worse to clean up than any of the above...  :o :o :o
