I had a play with an old one and seem good. Intended to get one around Christmas but got the iPhone instead with Kindle App... Not really used it yet though

Very easy to read and digest text from.

Unlike LCD's its a reflective media (E-paper) and more like paper so way better than a PC screen or mobile.

I had the use of one over Christmas and I was impressed, so much so my mother will be getting one for her Birthday this year  :y

A colleague got one, Ive had a play today and liked it, was after some longer term reviews.

Would appear theres ample sources of ebooks out there  :-X

I wanted to 'peel' the label off till I realised it was the screen!
3g free connectivity seems impressive, even for browsing oof in black and white!

If you do get one try calibre, it does a decent job of converting between ebook formats and a bit of sniffing around t'internet and you've got more books than you could read in a lifetime.

I may have a couple of epubs hiding in the corner of a hd somewhere myself. ;D
Works quite well on the pda even though htc reader is slower than Tunnie's desmond.

Yes, ive got one, very impressed so far, bought a few books and downloaded loads of free ones.

Screen very easy to read, much easier to read in bed than holding and balancing big books.

Will also play mp3's and read PDF files.

Only one problem, sometimes it won't come out of sleep and needs a reset.  If it carries on i might be sending it back.

What about reading it in high ambient light such as a sunlit room or a room with overhead fluorescent lighting?

I have one and find it excellent. All my reading matter now comes as ebook downloads. They are the future. :-*
