Shame you feel that way M, but, instead of bitching openly about the "problems" you have, why didn't you PM one of the Admin guys?

Although they have been known to fool around etc, its all been done with a sense of humour. I'm pretty sure though, that had you have passed on your concerns they would have been upfront and sensible and dealt with it.

I appreciate your unhappy about this forum now, but the rest of us and more than content with the way it is, if we weren't and felt as unhappy as you do, I'd have probably posted along the lines of......

Hi all, as much as I've enjoyed being on this forum, it's no longer for me. I wish all of the best and thanks for everything  :y"

No bitching, moaning etc.... just call it a day.

In the meantime, I wish you all the best  :y

I can't say I've noticed anyone making you feel unwelcome, but maybe I've missed something, or not read something into something that I should have. Still, we're quite a small moderation team, so we do occasionally miss things.  Probably occasionally = frequently ;D

I own a Vauxhall and a Rover.  I expect people to call the Vauxhall's rust buckets and the Rover a HG basher.  I don't get emotional over it.  Maybe I don't read enough into it, and just take it as banter  :-/

You own a Skoda. You are a bit daft if you think people aren't going to mention Skoda jokes. Skoda may have improved since being swallowed by VAG (or some might say VAG have gone down the tubes since swallowing Skoda - I'd say an element of both  :-X), but you have to accept the jokes will always be there.

Your Superb clearly suits you, good luck to you. Although I think you need to be less sensitive that its a Skoda ;).  I think some members found it a bit tiresome that every time they posted a query about a problem, your reply was always 'buy a superb' though.  Not overly constructive on an Omega forum ;). Despite the saloon's pig ugly looks, the Skoda Superb is not a bad car IMHO. Its not what I'd call a great car though - my neighbour had a 11 plate one briefly for about 5 months.  Its an acceptable, if dull, drive, reasonably well equipped, but bland interior, and most have underpowered engines, with the diesels out of favour with company car drivers due to high tax when coupled with autoboxes. You can't see the exterior styling from inside, fortunately.

Good luck on finding a suitable site for VAG - I really struggled when we had Audis in the family (now got to find a good Renault one, oh dear  :-[).

As others have said, its up to you if you want to leave, thus its up to you to delete your account.

I have to admire the restraint of the members on here when replying to this - it shows the maturity of the main population on here. As for the original post, I can't remember reading such a load of self-important tosh for a long time.
If you're going to go, then do it - without such a song and dance!

"And the juvenile behaviour of another admin was nothing short of unbelievable"

I assume thats me ;D ;D

Let me put everyone of you straight.

I have and will carry on doing so, too do anything to help this Forum. Not for one second would I do anything to ruin it either. Anyone who thinks differently does not know me.

Good Luck with whatever your doing, hope your Skoda looks after you :y

I too have nothing but positive comments to make about this forum. The maintainance guides and the answers to my questions, plus the loan of tools, has enabled me to tackle jobs that one year ago would have gone to the garage.

Keep up the good work. :y

most forums out there are abrupt, unfriendly and often have someone lurking who is just waiting for the oportunity to be down right obnoxious and unpleasant who never get dealt with by the mods of that site.

this is not one of them. from the comments made on the subject, most are of personal opinion, nothing else.

the mods are individuals and have there ways, as a team seem to keep things in a positive direction.
