Good luck on finding a suitable site for VAG - I really struggled when we had Audis in the family (now got to find a good Renault one, oh dear  :-[).

Mrs Woody had an Octavia vRS, which at 240 BHP was just about the fastest "real-world" car I've driven. And capable of 45mpg. Clearly superior to an Omega on both counts. But it's always going to be front-drive, which will forever relegate it to the second division.

we, too had trouble finding a good forum for it. She bought the moderator's car and joined the "Briskoda" forum. Got four welcome messages, three of which were enquiring as to the size of her norks.

Also, this forum has become very very clique of recent and I, like many other members, no longer feel a welcome part of it.

It really hacks me off when disgruntled members accuse the forum of being "clique". >:( So members that have been on here for years and become good friends should be formal and business like instead of having a laugh and bit of banter? :-/ I don't think so!!

It does appear to be the self centered attention seeking types that go for that line.

....community = clique   ...now what does that say about the individual?  :-X

Indeed... I was having the same discussion yesterday.

The funny thing is, the people who are accused of being "cliquey" are the ones who generally make a big effort to speak to as many people as possible at a meet ::)

Maybe we should have a poll "Is OOF cliquey?"
I must be honest, a hell of a lot of members I have spoken to in the last year or so believe strongly that it is,and becoming more so.One chap I spoke to last week said he had stopped posting a year or so ago because of it but had come back for another look and it had got much worse.
Its a subject which rears its head often - so smoke/fire etc? :-/

I think it is more of a case that some of the "higher post count" users know each other personally away from the forum and meet up fairly often where as if you have never met them, it can be hard work strikeing up a conversation "online" with them  :y
That "to some people" can come across as cliquey  :-/

Some people come across better "in the flesh" then sat behind a screen  ;)
I know I do but I'm pretty thick skined nowdays so I couldn't give a break what people think of me behind a computer screen  ;D

But sorry M, but as I said, no need to spit yeh dummy out. Time too chill out and grow a pair of gonads  ;D  ;)

But one thing I do know ................ things do get said "via pm" about some users  ;)
Pretty sad realy if it can't be said "online to there face "  ;)

meh i have cookies.  :-*

ive heard this superb bashing on here before about it being so ugly, i dont think its that ugly, its just kinda generic german saloon. nothing to look at but its no fiat multipla lol

As for being clique then it can seem a little at first to some maybe? although from my reading of threads its mostly banter between friends, much like i have on other car forums, this is def one of the more friendly helpful forums around imo  :y
