I have sent the list (so far) to the site today and they are going to come back to me with a price in the next couple of days. Anyone who wants to come but hasn't added their name to the list (or given me their details) please do so ASAP as I don't want anyone to be disappointed but we have already filled the first area set aside for us and are taking some pitches the other side of the gravel driveway now!

Thanks for all the interest and the great support guys... It looks like this will be a great meet! :y :y :y

Hi all, another newbie lurking.

If I have fixed the engine (HG job) and the other woes then I will try to swing in on the Sat (maybe with fam in tow).

Anyone going to the VBOA show at Billing Aquadrome the w/end after?

Steve.

I just need to clarify a couple of things with the camp site tomorrow... Like the definition of a large tent and number of people included on the pitch but I can say that the prices I have had back today are very reasonable! :y :y :y

I'll post them up once I've confirmed these few items with them (hopefully tomorrow!) and should be able to answer any questions people may have.

All I can add is...... C'mon Jimbob, Loo-Knee and anyone else still thinking about it... It's going to be a good weekend :y :y :y

I am very very tempted, but a 4 1/2 hour drive with the young kids is stopping me to be honest,  Think this one is just tooo far  :'(

Aye, long way, and cross country, no real motorway route.

No motorways to Newent either, but thats not too bad a run.

We tend to stick to a 2 hour approx radius at the mo.

What's a motorway? Nearest one to me is either M25 or M11, both over an hour away! :o :o :o

Mind you, I do my fair share out and about... Only 380 miles yesterday :y :y :y

Right then... Prices! Per unit per night, and this includes our discount.

Caravans and Small Tents (Up to 4Meters) - £8
Large Tents (Over 4 Meters)                     - £11
Leccy Hook-up                                        - £3.50
Dogs                                                      - £1
Day Visitors                                            - £2
Awning/Gazebo                                       - £2

There is normally a charge for more than 2 people per pitch of £2 per person per night but I think this will be waived, certainly there is no charge for any children under 14.

The owners have requested that everyone books in at Reception on arrival and they can then issue keys for the toilets and any shower tokens required. The tokens were 50p each last year but that gives 20 minutes of shower time... Long enough to share a token with 1 or 2 other people! :o :o

I'm hoping to be there before 11am on the Friday but will apologise if I have to have a nap in the afternoon as I'm working Thursday night! ::) ::)

I will be putting the Awning onto the Pikey Palace and I'm also taking a cheap Gazebo to extend the awning, giving a nice covered area for socialising if it is required. If anyone else has a spare Gazebo to bring along then feel free as we can then add it alongside mine to increase the shelter :y :y :y

The actual camping pitches we get issued may not all be in exactly the same spot due to the number of Hook-ups required but you can walk from one end of the site to the other in about 2 minutes so you wont be far away! Hopefully we can get enough long hook-up leads and splitters (the site has some prepared for us already!) to get as many as possible in the one area.

If anyone has any questions or wants my Mobile number then say so and I'll try to answer them/supply my number but I'm afraid I wont be posting it on a public forum ::) ::) ::)

I look forward to seeing you all there and am thoroughly looking forward to it! :y :y :y

Well done Paul, great organisation. :y

Just want to mention that I'll be bringing the gas barbie on the Saturday, so if anyone wants to bring BBQ food I'll be more than happy to do the cooking (I've had plenty of practice at previous OOF meets! ::)). Looking forward to it. :y

I'll keep you up to date on the Barbie front... I'm trying to work out if I can get my one from home in (it's proving to be a challenge at the moment!) but if I can you can just cook on that! ;) ;) :y :y

No problem Paul, but I'll probably bring it anyway as I can easily fit it in. :y

Hi Paul. If i'm the curry King then Bob's the Barbie King. He's proved on several occasions he can cater for an OOF meet so just bring barbie food. I'll make a batch of curry on the friday which i can warm through & boil rice in the van kitchen with gas. I'll bring some barbie stuff too so no one will go hungry! 8-)
