Well just spent this afternoon stripping my headlights down to do the black Euro look.
Was pleased with myself, and till I went to do the 2nd light and broke one of the plastic adjusters inside the light unit - Doh !!.
Out with the superglue and join up the jigsaw of bits back together, guess the project will take a little longer now - damn it ! 



Wasn't too difficult to do, and will be spending my evenings rubbing down the chrome to white plastic now, then down with the satin black paint.

post the pics once there on my Mig, don't hold your breath it'l be soon though after my mishap !.

how easy was the clear lense on the front to get off, because i got to strip mine to sort the adjusters?, as they're already broke when i bought the car

heat the sealed edge with a hair drier & carefully prise it apart as you go

As said above.

Most important thing is take your time, don't rush it as that's where mistakes happen.  Oh and make sure your not waring your sunday best outfit, as the sealant they've used loves to go  a wondering  .

I haven't got the sticky stuff off the lens yet, but doubt it'll be too difficult  .

Daft as it sounds and as much as I don't like the stuff.... WD40 will make it a lot easier but wear surgical golves or your fingers will stink for months

Ooo... never tried that stuff for getting glue off before, I've got some duck oil, so I'll try that as same thing.

(and... I'm just waiting for the jokes to appear about duck oil now    )

Think if I ask if I can borrow my other half's nail varnish remover, she's gon'a want to know why !!!!,

and saying because I need to get my fingers looking nice again after working on the car isn't going to do it !  .

had a accident with superglue all fingers together swmbo sorted it with nail varish remover plus they do pads              saved a trip to hospital

Yes, Nail Varnish Remover is only Acetone, wonderful stuff. Saved many sniggers at A&E.  ;)

Black windscreen bond It's like mastic but never fully sets and sticks like sh!t!!!
