172mph as a passenger in a Ferrari Daytona.
125mph in My syslvia when I was followed by a cop car attempting to keep up (Done at 95 to 100Mph)
Indicated 149 mph @6000 revs in the Sylvia.

118 mph according to the lights on the top of the T5 Cop car on a private track.
That was 3rd gear in my auto 2.5 GLS
Cant see the point in going anymore than 100mph on anyroad in case of a ban, dont think the Elite has travelled at more than 100mph, allthough I have seen 140 mph with TC off  on a wet road moving at about 15mph from a junction.

Pontiac
72mph 1st
112 mph 2nd
not saying what it achieved in 3rd as no one would belive me, but the gearing was that the car dropped into 3rd (auto) @55mph and the revs dropped to 1500, it would kickdown at 80 and spin the wheels.

Top speed pah..... :D :D

150mph in a modern super car on an autobahn is a lot less skillful / fun than 70mph on a winding country road in a Mini..... ::) ::) ::)

Oh and 135 in the Mitsubishi, once only, may be an age thing but much slower nowadays..... :D :D

I'm with Vamps - it's quality, not quantity that counts.

For me, 105mph foot flat to the floor in the Shove-it (Chevette) on a white road at 2am - comet tail of sparks from the sumpguard with susp bottoming out on the bumps - my navigator (later wife) saying "clear for 1000 meters - you can put your foot down".

Funnily enough a hire company were silly enough to give me one of those when I was in my early 20's for a trip to Telford.. And the M54 was deserted then.  ::)

160-170 perhaps ::)

I can do maths me :D

Wouldn't be too surprised TBH, I have had the pleasure of driving a proper yank tank before now I will never touch any eurobox or so called "hot hatch"  :P

70mph in the UK,

That would include travelling on the northbound M6?

Must have been someone else then. :-X

Not been to Germany then?  :o

I'm afraid I might have sinned on the continent in the Westfield. Was following a mate of mine and it was keep up or be lost in Le Mans at night without a map. Went through a speed camera in a 130 speed limit at about 130. Apart from a KPH / MPH technicality it was perfectly legal.  :-X

Fortunately it was one of their stealthy cameras on a tripod about a foot high, and my front number plate is across the nosecone. ::)

Oh, yes? Do we have to wait in suspense for that long? ;)

That was Cumbria, don't believe that is part of the UK, as sex with sister/mother is allowed...

Due to my age and forgetfulness, I may have gotten kph and mph muddled ::)

Right you are. Along with all sorts of oddities in their version of contract law when it comes to supply of, and payment for, camping facilities. ;)
