I am tempted to re look at getting mine fitted by an authorised dealer, will still pay for itself within a year... :-/ :-/ :-/
Mike, as you know when I did mine (which is at
least as good if not
far superior to any 'professional' install, even though I say so myself

I found when I took it to be inspected by an LPGA Installer for the issue of a 'Compliance Certificate' that a new system was being rolled out across the UK & that from the middle of June 2010, no certificates of any description were being issued & instead the Installation was being entered onto a National Database. So nothing has changed as far as you are concerned and SAGA accepted mine (after a bit of confusion) so you will have no trouble there either now

Also worth remembering that
I am/was a Gas Engineer and I like things neat & 'just so'

Oh, & you can't get cheaper than FREE Labour!

As for the DVLA, the Installer who checked my car and added me to the Database issued me with a 'Compliance Letter' on Headed Company paper stating that the install complied with current Regulations and was a Registered Installation. V5 followed shortly thereafter!
