Drove it to the land of the webbed feet, using back roads due to A14 mess today.

A 2t exec saloon should not be able to go round corners like that.

Your suitable impressed then ? I might buy one in 10years time when they are sub £2k.  :y :D

Booked the Merc in for a custom made exhaust on the 27th saw a company on Car SOS TV programme John Ashley in Walsall & rang them very helpful and obviously keen on cars , will let you know how I get on.

Dropped car off at county diesels in Leicester, fed up of the wheezing noise. Hopefully they`ll find the problem

I'm hoping so, its driving me up the wall, checked and rechecked but very limited on what you can do on a driveway without a pressure test

Are you saying a 2ton Jag with a 3ltr diesel engine carnt manage 50mpg average..... :-\ ;D

Buy a 1.6ltr diesel Ford....that can  ;D

It can only really be the inlet track

And the inlet manifold gasket it was  :y new one now fitted and wheeze free, first Tim since owning the car.

Ben touching up some small scratches and stonechips. Tedious job, and the more you look the more you find.  ::)
